Side Cut Sports has created a unique concept for unmanned rentals, a station for SUPs that uses Rentalbuddy's booking system to receive bookings from customers. Each box in the rental station is locked with a digital padlock from IglooHome . Side Cut Sports develop the storage solution and will distribute and sell the rental stations to other renters in the region.
How it works to rent a product at the self-service rental:
The customer scans the QR code at any box in the rental station. If the box is taken, the customer is directed to an available box.
The customer then chooses how long they wish to rent the SUP for. They then enter their contact information to receive the code to unlock the digital locks to their email address.
Payment takes place directly in the booking system. After payment, the code to unlock the digital lock is sent to the customer's provided email address. The code is valid throughout the rental period.
The customer can then use and enjoy their experience with the SUP. 30 minutes before the rental period ends, a reminder is sent to the customer's email address. The SUP is returned to the referred box and the customer confirms that they have returned the product.
